Bull-Joseph Fourier Prize 2012 awards three scientific teams for their advances in research and innovation
Designed to promote the use of HPC, this year the annual prize awarded by Bull and GENCI has recognized work in astrophysics, lasers and nanotechnologies.
A moment of great pride – Bull Angers welcomes Catherine Rivière, CEO of GENCI and eminent researchers
Catherine Rivière, CEO of France’s HPC organization GENCI, has visited Bull’s factory at Angers, France. The Group recently installed the CURIE Petascale supercomputer for GENCI.
Designed and implemented by Bull at the TGCC data center near Paris, CURIE is one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers, delivering 2 Petaflops. Developed for GENCI as part of the PRACE program, it will enable French and European researchers to tackle huge scientific challenges, in areas such as astrophysics, life sciences and climatology.
