Bull, the CEA, F4E and the JAEA inaugurate the Helios supercomputer in Rokkasho (Japan), dedicated to the Nuclear Fusion program

Extreme Computing. On 19 March, the Helios supercomputer – designed and implemented by Bull for the IFERC (International Fusion Energy Research Center) at Rokkasho, in Japan – was officially inaugurated. Delivering peak power of 1.5 Petaflops, this machine will provide computer modeling and simulation capacity for the research program linked to ITER, aimed at exploring new energy sources.

Curie speeds up European research

Extreme Computing
Designed and implemented by Bull at the TGCC data center near Paris, CURIE is one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers, delivering 2 Petaflops. Developed for GENCI as part of the PRACE program, it will enable French and European researchers to tackle huge scientific challenges, in areas such as astrophysics, life sciences and climatology.
