Through its subsidiary AMG.net, Bull has implemented the up-to-date new reservations portal for LOT.
On 19 November 2013 at the Computerworld ‘Best in Cloud 2013′ conference Polish airline LOT has scooped the first prize for its reservation and ticketing services accessible online via tablets, mobiles and PCs.
LOT is one of the world’s leading airlines using cloud technology on a global level. The airline company awarded Bull’s subsidiary AMG.net the contract for the integration and implementation of the project, utilizing Platform-As-A-Service and Infrastructure-As-A-Service solutions from Amazon Web Services.
During the design and development phase for the new solution, LOT followed the rule of ‘anywhere, any time’ to guarantee unlimited access to its full range of offerings and useful information for passenger and travellers. A public Cloud infrastructure was the obvious answer, and the mobile site had to meet many different requirements: passengers needed easy access to information, with an excellent level of performance anywhere in the world; and services needed to be able to evolve in real time, with airline reservation applications subject to sharp and unpredictable peaks in workload.
