Bull has been especially active in this innovative area, and following on from the launch of its offering Le cloud by Bull™, the Group has simultaneously unveiled two major initiatives:
- In association with telecoms company SFR and FSN (the French National Fund for a Digital Society), the creation of an independent secure Cloud services company operating at a European level – particularly for the storage of strategic data – that will guarantee the security, confidentiality and close local proximity of information.
- The creation of NumInnov, an independent, pan-European operator of High-Performance Computing services in secure Cloud mode. Established in conjunction with the Caisse des Dépôts, via the FSN, as part of the French government’s Investments for the Future program, NumInnov, whose ecosystem already includes some 25 businesses and ISVs, will expand the ways that computer simulation is used in industry, energy, healthcare, culture and media, and homeland security.
