Bull and Alphinat Inc. have signed an agreement under which Bull will provide marketing, integration and expertise services around the Alphinat SmartGuide software suite.
The partnership is a logical progression of the collaboration between the two companies, following the successful implementation of the MDEL (Mes démarches en ligne or My on-line procedures) project as part of the www.mon.service-public.fr public services portal for the French State Modernization Agency (the DGME); an inter-ministerial body reporting to the Ministry for the Budget. The DGME has defined an ambitious program to put public sector processes on line, aimed at simplifying and optimizing users’ dealings with the public sector bodies. The approach to computerizing these processes has been achieved thanks to Bull’s implementation of a ‘process computerization factory’ based on Alphinat’s SmartGuide. The generic tool takes account of the constant evolution of on-line services, and responds to tough constraints in terms of agility, timescales, workload, security and costs.
The current worldwide economic situation is leading governments and businesses to quickly achieve savings while at the same time improving the quality of their service delivery.
