Honored in the ‘New Business Application Implementation’ category, with Bull’s help the region has implemented an innovative restitution solution: the Management Dashboard.
The applications – developed by Bull in partnership with the Languedoc-Roussillon regional council – won the ‘New Business Application Implementation’ category in this year’s SAP Quality Awards.

The close relationship between our own teams and those from Bull meant we could combine technical skills and understanding of our business to build a set of high-performance and innovative management tools aligned closely to our needs,” commented Christian Bourquin, President of the Languedoc- Roussillon regional authority.
The SAP awards program recognizes customers who implement innovative software solutions that meet complex challenges in terms of technical and business processes.
The third-party application maintenance contract signed with Languedoc-Roussillon to implement the council’s management information systems involves creating function-specific modules (Finance, HR, Transport, Professional Development, Education, Elected Representatives…) which allows the operational and functional directorates to share the same information. The modules have also enabled a Management Dashboard to be created. This powerful tool processes alerts and decision-support indicators in order to manage available resources, major processes (human resources, financial, public tenders, and grants and subsidies) as well as ‘business’ activities. It provides relevant information for different business contexts and levels of management responsibility.
Bull is managing the migration of data flows as follows: data is collected from business applications to be uploaded, using the Talend solution, to create data warehouses consistent with the processing carried out via the BO XiR3 portal.

With the implementation of the SAP Xcelsius and Dashboard Builder solutions, user interaction and real-time visualization on dashboards have been improved, enabling some 100 managers (the senior management team and department heads) to access an innovative management tool in just a few clicks. When it comes to mobile computing, it is envisaged that the solution will be available for use on tablets and smartphones, as decision-makers (who are often travelling around) need to take decisions more rapidly no matter where they may be.
