The two companies are working together to offer customers robust technology for securing mission-critical information in ways that are virtually seamless with customers’ operations
Worldwide Oracle customers selecting TrustWay HSM will benefit from the latest security features including centralized encryption key management and storage in the encryption card of TrustWay box Common Criteria EAL4+ validated (encryption card using RSA 4096 bits or Elliptic Curve Cryptography 256 bits algorithms).
Using Oracle Advanced Security and the TrustWay box, data is transparently encrypted and decrypted within the Oracle Database without any change to existing applications.
TrustWay-powered Oracle Database 11g solution’s repository management scenarios
- Common Criteria-compliant environments. Governmental entities such as defense, interior, finance, health departments deploy encryption and key management as part of stringent internal security policies, and Common Criteria to EAL4+ level compliance is a requirement for these implementations. TrustWay HSM is validated to this level and helps protect PII, personally identifiable information, within public sector organizations.
- Compliance mandates. Secure key management and encryption are the most challenging parts of data protection and compliance. The use of an HSM as a trusted platform in which keys can be securely created, used, managed and stored helps comply with these mandates. Oracle Transparent Data Encryption is now supported by the TrustWay HSM to provide centralized key management. As critical policy enforcement points, TrustWay HSM can be used to establish strong authentication rules for administrators and dual control mechanisms for establishing shared responsibilities.
- Data Bases Security and Scalability. TrustWay provides a virtually seamless solution to manage the creation, storage, rotation (re-keying) of master encryption keys used by Oracle Transparent Data Encryption. This integration solves the management issues of centrally storing master encryption keys securely.
