This comprehensive solution for managing ATM networks chosen by all the major banks in France is now available worldwide.
Expertise recognized by all the leading French banks
Born over a decade ago as the result of a cooperation with a French regional bank, Argaus ATM Manager has subsequently established itself as the essential software solution for optimizing ATM network management. Bull experts have ensured that the solution has evolved in synch with the changes in the banking world, through close collaboration with user teams.
Developed by a dedicated Bull competence center in Bordeaux, Argaus ATM Manager is designed to meet the key challenges involved in managing networks of heterogeneous ATMs: ensuring cash-point availability, reducing running costs thanks to high-level monitoring, and constantly adapting to changing functional requirements.
Whether in terms of monitoring or remotely controlling their cash-points, Argaus ATM Manager addresses the most important requirements of contracting authorities. These priorities include simplifying the incident management process, restitutions and opening links with highly-evolved related functions such as cash management and security administration.
Argaus is regularly updated with technical and ergonomic improvements (Web 2.0/portlets, three-tier architecture, thin client…) as well as new functionality (generic agent, incident management…). The team draws on Bull’s full range of skills – including architecture optimization, RDBMS expertise and NovaForge™, the Group’s collaborative software development platform – to respond to the twin aim of guaranteeing the availability of ATMs while at the same time minimizing the costs involved and the resources used. Argaus ATM Manager now offers technical, business and strategic monitoring facilities, while maintaining its openness and ability to adapt to the specific needs of each bank. The solution is also now accessible to banks operating a smaller network of ATMs.
International prospects for growth
Following on from recent successes (in 2009 the product was chosen to support two new networks with a combined total of 27,000 ATMs), Argaus ATM Manager is now used to manage the cash-point networks of all the major banks in France. In this rapidly expanding market, which is growing at more than 10% a year, Argaus ATM Manager is set to accelerate the penetration of new markets in Europe, Africa and South America in 2010.
